If you love biscuits, I’d love to share what I learn with you. I have a very fun facebook fan page. Please “like it” if you want to see and share biscuit pictures and recipes. I also send out an occasional news letter with great information. I only send it once a month. So, please sign up and share the biscuit love.
Here is my Biscuit Blog where I write about the biscuits I make and the biscuit makers I meet.
Biscuit by biscuit, Maryann Byrd and her independent film and book are reviving the lost tradition of homemade biscuit making. Since, The Rise of the Southern Biscuit aired on PBS in 2007, thousands of copies of the film and Book, The Biscuit Dive Guide have sold around the world. Maryann speaks to groups and teaches them how to master the lost art of Southern Biscuit making.
Maryann was in New Orleans for Hungery in the South as Guest Curator for the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. She demonstrated classic Southern Biscuit techniques at the French Market and signed copies of her book, The Biscuit Dive Guide at books at the cookbook fair at the Market.
